MICHAEL JONES

In 1985 Michael Jones played for the Auckland Colts in the curtain-raiser to the famous Ranfurly Shield 'Match of the Century'. The next day John Hart named the 20-year-old flanker in the Auckland squad. That weekend he debuted for Auckland against South Canterbury, scoring 3 tries.
