TOM ELLISON

NZ's first rugby captain Tom Ellison was; NZ's first Maori solicitor, a parliamentary candidate, author of "The Art of Rugby Football", the inventor the 2-3-2 scrum formation, and designer of NZ's black rugby uniform with the silver fern. He died age 36.
