WAKA NATHAN

Waka Nathan broke his jaw three times during his All Black career. On the third occasion he rebroke the jaw whilst shouting at his team-mates from the sidelines in Wales in 1967.

Nathan played 14 test matches between 1962 and 1967. He was affectionately known as the Black Panther. He died in September 2021 at the age of 81.
